NASA and ESA trimming sails on Mars mission?
NAS and ESA may be forced to cut features from their proposed ExoMars missions in 2016 and 2018.
They're stuck between a rock (construction start deadline for the next launch window is nigh) and a hard place (the global economy affects space programmes too), and may need to bring the Russians on board to make the slot, trading experiment space for launch vehicles.
